Admission Requirements
We welcome aspiring sociologists who are eager to explore the complexities of human societies. Admission into our programmes requires:
– Undergraduate Admission: Candidates must possess a minimum of five credits in SSCE, WASSCE, or NECO, including English Language and Mathematics, and must meet the department’s UTME cut-off score for the year.
– Direct Entry: Candidates with A-level passes, OND/HND/NCE qualifications, or a 2-year Diploma in Social Work may also apply, provided they meet the O’level requirements.
– Postgraduate Admission: Applicants must hold a second class (lower division) Bachelor’s degree in Sociology or related fields for MSc programmes, or a Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 5-point scale. Credit level PGD holders may also be considered.
